Annual Blini Fundraiser

Thanks to all who attended our Blini Fundraiser. With over 100 guests in attendance, it was a great opportunity to see some old friends and make some new ones.
A special thanks to our volunteer servers from OP10P and HOPP who kept our guests' glasses full, and the hot Blinis coming and to the dance group Matreshki who visited from Washington DC entertaining everyone with traditional Russian Dance and song!

Egg Decorating Master Class

A HUGE thanks to all our volunteers who made today a great day for over 50 kids who came to ARAA-Otrada to decorate eggs. A special thanks to all the participants who came out to enjoy a nice sunny day of crafts and fellowship at ARAA-Otrada.
A Night Out Dancing

A lively night out at Otrada, including dinner and dancing. There was a ballroom showcase along with a ballroom masterclass. Once the students were confident in their new skills, there was a dance competition.
2017 May Rummage Sale
Friday and Saturday, May 12&13, 2017, 9:00am-4:00pm
The St. Elizabeth Ladies Committee held its first ever Sale d’ Rummage to benefit the ARAA-Otrada St. Elizabeth Charitable Fund.
We had many items remain after the close of our sale, however, the St. Elizabeth Ladies Committee took this opportunity to do good in our community. Our misfortune is another’s gain, as we donated dozens of boxes of clothes to benefit the Vietnam Veterans Association; we donated boxes of clothes to be sent to the needy in Haiti; we donated furniture and household items to the Salvation Army; we donated animal transport cages and supplies to the local animal shelter; and we donated many various items to benefit a future rummage sale of a Pan Orthodox Church in our community. All donations that were made to this ARAA-Otrada event either produced financial aid for those in need or were distributed to other organizations who will benefit! Thanks to all who made this Sale d’ Rummage a success!

2017 Russian Festival

The festival was very successful with over 300 people in attendance. There was Russian food catered by Taste of Home and alcoholic beverages sponsored by B&B Wine and Liquors. Russian music, dancing, and live entertainment, including Otrada's Tiny Puppet Theater and the Youth Ensemble Troika. There was a ballroom showcase followed by a ballroom masterclass, along with raffle, lottery baskets, and vendor tables. Activities included face painting, balloon animal making, a jumping castle,
a dunk tank, and various field games.
Tiny Puppet Theater Class
Wednesday, September 27th, 2017, 6:00pm-7:00pm
ARAA-Otrada's Tiny Puppet Theater has their first class so that you could learn how to professionally perform with them. This first class was free.

2017 Oktoberfest

The first annual Oktoberfest was a hit with many new faces visiting our cultural center! German fare was catered by Stickey's, located in Hillsdale NJ.

Gingerbread Decorating and Bake Sale

Children, young and old, gathered and got into the holiday spirit while decorating their own gingerbread houses! Light refreshments were offered and freshly baked holiday items were available for purchase.
